last day at hospital today

Hi everyone--we had to say goodbye to the people and children of St. Damien's children's hospital today and we had a very very difficult time. We have become so very attached to the children in the butterfly room which is the children's surgical postop floor that we both literally sobbed when we had to leave them--tough to even write about at the moment. But OH how God is at work! In every area--where we served, with the team, our travels, we have shared the LOVE of Jesus Christ...so many stories to tell when we get home....tomorrow is 1 month anniversary of earthquake and a 3day mourning has been declared. Please pray for these precious, precious people!!!! Love, Linda and Julie

Update... from Morgan

Hey Everyone... Morgan here!

I just wanted to shoot everyone a quick update. I got to talk to my mom tonight and she is currently at the hospital on a 24 hr shift. She told me that today and tonight they will continue working with the children in hospital... Today, she and the rest of the team got to spend some time playing with kids.... handing out candy, singing (she told me that they LOVE Bob Marley:)), smiling and taking lots of pics! I hope to be able to upload some of them soon!
Please continue to be in prayer for me mom and aunt, the team, and for the precious haitian people in the hospitals.... Pray that God will continue to strengthen them through this very emotionally and physically taxing time. Pray for opportunities for them to share the Gospel and God's love with their patients. Thank you so much for your prayers!
I also want to thank everyone who has jumped in and helped out our family this week.... Thank you for all of the meals, supplies for the trip, watching us, and loving our family while mommy is loving on the people of haiti.... We are SO grateful!!!!
But most of all, we are grateful that the LORD has allowed mom and aunt ninner to serve in "such a time as this"... God has uniquely equipped my mom and aunt ninner and it is amazing to see God's hands working through it all!!!!!!
Well, I think that's it for now, but I hope to be updating frequently for mommy!

For HIS Glory,

Morgan

Franklin Graham

After a 12 hour bus ride from Santo Domingo to Haiti and seeing all of the devastation as we drove to our compound, we were blessed to attend a chapel service led by Franklin Graham...many members of the 82nd airborne were honored and Julie and I felt so blessed to be encouraged by him that we decided we needed to get some airtime with him...

hi from haiti 2-7-10

Hi Everyone! I finally have my computer hooked up! Oh how Jesus is at work in Haiti!! He is definitely using Jules and I and our whole team as His hands and His feet. Our prayer is simply this: that when we care for these people and children that they will not see us but Jesus! We will load some pictures to the blog if we can figure it out! We love you and miss you soo much......oh how precious it is to show the love of Christ to such a hurting and agonizing people.....keep praying for more opportunities to truly share the hope of the Gospel with these people. We are sooooo busy providing wound care and anesthesia that it is sometimes difficult to find moments to talk because translators are scarce.....but just whispering Jezu(jesus in creole) in these babies ears is so special. We are safe and well-fed.....unlike the millions of people we pass each day living in streets and in tents made of sticks and sheets and standing in lines literally a mile long just to get a bag of rice. But God......
